Portfolio
This site: a portfolio built as a Fourier instrument with Next.js 16 and Payload CMS 3, where chains of rotating circles draw every page in one handwritten line.
§ problem
Needed a portfolio that goes beyond a static resume — one that demonstrates engineering depth through case studies, interactive elements, and CMS-driven content.
§ overview
- Rebuilt the site as an oscilloscope in X-Y mode: a chain of Fourier circles draws every section, project and name as one continuous line.
- Wrote the path pipeline: single-line handwriting strokes joined by a minimum spanning tree with out-and-back bridges, resampled by arc length and served compactly per word.
- Built a framework-free canvas engine: the DFT in a Web Worker, an inverse FFT for the full curve, dissolve-and-rebuild transitions, pluck springs and scrubbing.
- Turned every page into an instrument: a spectrum analyser for projects, case studies that resolve as you read, a signal-path privacy policy and a no-signal 404.
- Content stays in Payload CMS on MongoDB and Vercel Blob; Lighthouse accessibility is 100 across the main pages.
