An Android movie browser app powered by the TMDb API with genre browsing, video playback, cast details, and Firebase integration.

Overview

Built a full-featured Android movie browser with 98 Java source files, integrating the TMDb API via Retrofit and RxJava.

Implemented genre browsing, movie search, cast and crew details, reviews, backdrop galleries, and video playback.

Integrated Firebase for analytics and real-time database, Google AdMob for monetization, and Android billing for in-app purchases.

Used data binding, ViewPager adapters, and RecyclerViews for a polished, responsive UI.

Wanted a rich, native Android experience for discovering movies with detailed info, trailers, and cast — beyond what basic movie apps offered.
